January Oahu Housing Stats! What is your forecast?

Here is today's market info. Sales prices are going up as always. Even though with the rising price, interest rate for mortgage has been still low enough. If you are buyer and can come up with 10%down, home purchase would be reasonably possible. There are many home buyers out there in YOUR situation. So, trying to see what happens became very common. In another words, you are competing with other buyers. Always sense of urgency is required.

As for seller, even with this high sales price trend, what buyer pays is the price you would most likely get. So, being too aggressive on pricing wouldn't help you sell your home quickly enough to get you to the next goal. If you are upgrading to get a bigger home, better location, it's actually a good timing to be able to afford with your built up equity.
